Last of the ten practice spindles, so thirty coves of wildly varying quality cut. At first glance, I would say something has shifted, coming at a day later and just doing it produced as good a set as I have managed.
Cove 28 could probably be deeper, and the symmetry is not perfect, but is has a pleasing consistency to it. Cove 29 has a bit more abrupt slope on the right side than the left, while Cove 30 is really asymmetric. But the surface on all three is really good throughout the curve on both sides. I may not be getting exactly the shape I want yet, however the cutting action has improved dramatically, even at the higher angles in the later cuts.
So, not perfect by any stretch, just enough to start trying to use the developed skill in projects.
